Truth and Delusion

In Saturday’s Observer, Vaughan Bell points out an important but overlooked revision within the new DSM-5. Simply put, the diagnosis of a delusion no longer requires the delusional belief to be false. Instead, it is the extreme rigidity and conviction of the belief that potentially qualifies as it as symptom of psychopathology. Read the full story.
