Caffeine and Creativity

As someone who recently gave up (okay, okay, cut back on) coffee, I have tried to mark the ways that life with less caffeine is improving or hindering my functioning. While my self-study remains inconclusive, a New Yorker blog post by Maria Konnikova offers me some solace: contemporary neurocognitive research suggests that caffeine use may have an inhibitory effect on creativity.
